A Kansas man has been charged with first-degree murder after he allegedly shot and killed his wife's best friend on Mother's Day, the Kansas City Star reports.

Police say that on the day of the shooting, 46-year-old Mark VanSickler shot and killed 32-year-old Jamie VanSickler in their Manhattan home.

VanSickler had been dating VanSickler's best friend for two years, according to a GoFundMe page set up to help VanSickler's family in the wake of his death.

According to the GoFundMe page, VanSickler and VanSickler got into an argument on the day of the shooting.

After the argument, police say VanSickler shot and killed his wife's best friend before shooting and killing himself.
